Maple crotchwood, Black Locust and resin Squash box

This squash-themed box was turned from Walnut crotchwood, Black Locust and resin. The box was buffed and dyed, while the Black Locust finial was dry-brushed with acrylics. The inside of the box was finished with Mahoney’s Walnut Oil. Both timbers are native to Michigan.

This spherical box measures 5-1/2” x 7-1/2”.
